Kiosk mode is used to keep tablets in the DS smart® application at all times. However, sometimes we need to exit Kiosk Mode to edit settings and other tablet operating system-related troubleshooting. This guide will show you how to enter and exist Kiosk Mode on Android tablets running the DS smart app.
For Spanish language instructions, see Entrar y salir del modo quiosco (Kiosk Mode).
Exiting Kiosk Mode
When fixing Wi-Fi and other settings, you'll need to exit Kiosk Mode first. Re-enable Kiosk mode when you are done to help prevent others from changing settings.
| 1. If the tablet is locked (as pictured), swipe across the screen to unlock the tablet, making the DS smart application/login screen visible. You do not need to log in. | |
|
2. Press and hold the tablet's power key and volume down button at the same time (Android 16+) or the power key (Android 9-15). If you aren't sure of your Android version, try the power button first. If nothing happens, then you know it is 16+. | |
