When setting up your tablet for the first time, we recommend configuring your equipment for use with the DS Smart® app. This means that when you need to use your DS Smart app for vitals collection, your devices will also be ready to go. This guide will show you how to connect your equipment with the DS Smart app.

| 1. Select Get Started on the welcome screen. | |
| 2. Select your EHR. | |

3. Select Connect under the Standard option. If you have a ReadyCheck kit, please see setup instructions here. |

| 4. Select Add Equipment. If this is your first time using the tablet, no equipment will be configured. | |
| 5. To add equipment, select your device on the equipment list. You can also filter by equipment type at the top of the screens. | |

6. If applicable, match the serial number of the device with the number on the screen. Select Add Equipment. Confirm if prompted.

7. Repeat this process for all the equipment you use regularly. When you have finished, select Close in the upper right corner. |
Your DS Smart app is now ready for use! The DS Smart app will remember these devices, so you should not need to repeat this workflow.
