Many facilities have multiple Wi-Fi networks, but only one is the secured network for accessing medical records. To allow DS smart® to access and update these records, ensure your iPad is connected to the secure Wi-Fi network. This guide will show you how to connect to secure Wi-Fi networks and remove networks from the DS smart iPad.
Ensure your Wi-Fi connection is set up correctly from the beginning by:
- Using a secured network
- Whitelisting
Adding a Wi-Fi Network
1. From the Home screen, select Settings (gear icon). |
2. Select the Wi-Fi section from the left navigation panel. On the right side of the screen, select the secured network you'd like to use (there will be a lock icon next to an secured network). If you can't find it, select Other... at the bottom of the list. |
3. Enter the password for the network. |
4. You are now connected to your secured network. |
Removing a Wi-Fi Network
DS smart recommends using this method to remove networks rather than the alternative "manage networks," as that will show networks that aren't currently visible to the tablet.
1. From the Home screen, select Settings (gear icon). |
2. Select the Wi-Fi section from the left navigation panel. On the right side of the screen, select the unsecured network (there will be no lock icon next to an unsecured network). |
3. Select Forget This Network. |
