Many facilities have multiple Wi-Fi networks, but only one is the secured network for accessing medical records. To allow DS smart® to access and update these records, ensure your tablet is connected to the secure Wi-Fi network. This guide will show you how to connect to secure Wi-Fi networks and remove networks from the DS smart tablet.
Ensure your Wi-Fi connection is set up correctly from the beginning by:
- Using a secured network (not a guest network)
- Whitelisting
Adding a Wi-Fi Network

1. Follow these steps to exit Kiosk mode.

| 2. From the Home screen, select Settings (gear icon). | |
| 3. Select the Connections tab. | |

| 4. Select Wi-Fi to view a list of available Wi-Fi networks. Ensure Wi-Fi is toggled on (blue and to the right). | |

5. Select the secured network you'd like to use (there will be a lock icon next to an secured network). If you can't find it, select the +Add network button at the bottom of the screen. | |

| 6. Enter the password for the network. | |
| 7. You are now connected to your secured network. Follow these steps to return to Kiosk mode. | |
Removing a Wi-Fi Network

1. Follow these steps to exit Kiosk mode.

| 2. From the Home screen, select Settings (gear icon). | |
| 3. Select the Connections tab. | |

4. Android 13+: Select the gear icon next to the Wi-Fi network you are connected to. Android 9-12: Select Wi-Fi to view a list of available Wi-Fi networks. Select Advanced in the upper corner, and then Manage networks. Locate the Wi-Fi network you would like to stop connecting to. | |

| 5. Select Forget to remove the network from this tablet. | |
