The Attendant® Ready✔Check Kit is a portable solution for taking resident vitals and responding to resident incidents in your community. This guide will show you how to set up your Android tablet with DS smart.
Exit Kiosk Mode
| 1. If the tablet is locked (as pictured), swipe across the screen to unlock the tablet, making the DS smart application/login screen visible. You do not need to log in. | |
| 2. Press and hold the tablet's power key. | |
| 3. Select the orange ProKiosk mode icon. | |

4. Enter the password and select OK. If you don't know the password, please contact your Customer Success Manager or DS smart support at (866) 324-0066. |
Configure a Wi-Fi Network
| 1. From the Home screen, select Settings (gear icon). | |
| 2. Select the Connections tab. | |

3. Select Wi-Fi to view a list of available Wi-Fi networks. Ensure Wi-Fi is toggled on (blue and to the right). |

4. Select the secured network you'd like to use (there will be a lock icon next to an secured network). If you can't find it, select the +Add network button at the bottom of the screen. |

5. Enter the password for the network. |

Pairing Devices
If you have a DS smart tablet included in your kit, you'll want to pair your discrete devices with the app to streamline using it for the first time.

1. Locate the three discrete devices included in your kit and turn them on:
Note: Devices come in their original packaging with batteries included. We recommend storing the individual manuals in the Ready✔Check bag. |

2. Locate your DS smart tablet, and power it on. |
|
|
3. Select the icon to launch the DS smart app. |
|
|
4. Select Get Started. |
|
|
5. Select your EMR. |
|
|
6. Select Connect under the ReadyCheck option.
If you don't want to connect your discrete devices at this time, you can select Skip Equipment Configuration. You will then be prompted to connect your equipment later in the workflow, after selecting a resident but before getting readings. |

7. Locate each of the discrete devices included in your kit and connect them to the tablet one at a time. They are now paired with the app, so you won't have to do this again. |
|

8. Log in using your existing EMR credentials. Use your facility location prefix (e.g., “sa.susanjones,” not “susanjones”). |

Enter Kiosk Mode
These steps vary slightly between Android versions. Please follow the instructions for your version.
| 1. From the homepage, go to the Settings application (gear icon). If you cannot see it in your homepage, you may need to swipe up to see all of your apps. | |

2. Select Advanced Features. |
|

3. Select Configuration Services. |
|
|
4. Select the DS smart profile name. |
|
|
5. Toggle on ProKiosk and Update. |
