How do scales connect to the DS smart system?
Scales connect through DS smart® on a tablet, which acts as a hub (the user interface between the caregiver and the resident’s vitals). Follow instructions on Activating Additional Equipment.
After connecting the scale to DS smart via Bluetooth, take the resident's weight and send the reading to the EMR (as you would send all vitals).
